With the overwhelming bipartisan effort of the House approving the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act of 2019 417-3, there is a real possibility that the stretch IRA may soon meet its end, along with other critical issues that must be addressed for large IRAs.

Every IRA and company plan will be affected, creating the potential for new costly IRA pitfalls for many Americans, and significant new planning opportunities for advisors who are prepared to help them.

Join us for this exclusive webcast event to learn the planning issues that would result from this legislation, which IRAs will be most affected, and what action steps to take right now, including:

  • How the new post-death IRA rules would work for deaths after 2019 if the stretch IRA is eliminated and replaced with a 10-year payout for all beneficiaries, plus the certain “Eligible Designated Beneficiaries” who are exempt

  • The two biggest concerns for large IRA clients, and how you can still provide them with post-death control and minimized taxes (especially trust taxes!)

  • Why IRA trusts may no longer work - Most large IRAs are left to trusts to protect and preserve those large inherited IRA balances for (and from) beneficiaries. However, conduit trusts will cease to exist. They may all have to be revised or scrapped. Trusteed IRAs won’t work either!

What will you tell your clients?

America’s IRA Expert, Ed Slott, CPA, will share five immediate solutions and planning opportunities to discuss with your clients today, including:

1. How to re-evaluate beneficiaries with the Beneficiary Tax Benefit Multiplier

(Hint: Spousal rollovers may be more valuable for tax deferral)

2. Effective tax bracket management techniques, including Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

3. Roth conversion conversations you should be having

4. How life Insurance will become a new top solution replacing IRA trusts

5. Critical tips for using Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRTs) and direct charitable beneficiaries

Developed markets are in the later stages of their economic cycle and central bank policies are becoming more uncertain. Investors should, therefore, be prepared for more volatility. In this environment, it’s important to upgrade your core bond portfolios to focus on high quality bond funds that can help diversify equities. Investors looking for enhanced income, should consider diversifying away from corporate credit. Finally, those in a high tax bracket should take advantage of munis for more than just tax-free income.

Women represent an increasing economic power in the U.S. In fact, American women make up 47% of the U.S. labor force and are responsible for starting 41% of new businesses.1, 2

For the first time, American women have surpassed men in controlling private wealth, giving them decision-making power over approximately $14 trillion.3

For all their gains, women still lag men when it comes to financial wellness and are generally far less prepared to retire on their terms. This panel discussion will focus on what your clients need to know about women and investing. New research provides insights into how advisors can close the retirement gender gap. What are some of the barriers women face? How can advisors transform insights into actions?  What are some of the actionable tips and tools advisors can use to inspire women to take steps to improve their financial wellness?

These are just a few of the questions that we’ll answer during this lively discussion on one of the industry’s hottest topics – financial wellness.

Sound portfolio construction begins with aligning clients’ assets to their goals. To deliver successful outcomes, one has to consider a broader array of risks and objectives than just tracking a benchmark. More than 85 years of investment experience has shown us that the benchmark that really counts is helping investors to pursue their goals — be it building wealth, spending wealth or conserving wealth. An objective-based process begins with investor goals and determining the appropriate investment objectives, such as growth, income and preservation. By pursuing these objectives, financial advisors can help clients achieve a greater diversity of outcomes, creating a clearer alignment with client goals and risks. This makes it easier for the advisor to link investment strategies to real-life goals.

Increasing regulations heighten the need for financial services firms to focus on governance and compliance.  While documentation accuracy may not be the first thought financial professionals think of as they seek to meet compliance, the reality is accuracy and compliance go hand-in-hand and should be at the core of a comprehensive financial compliance strategy.

Learn how deploying smart technology, like speech recognition solutions, can help advisors ease their growing documentation burden, create more detailed client plans and records with greater speed and specificity, automate processes via standardized forms, and capture the immediacy of client interactions, all while fostering better advisor/client relationships and saving time and costs.

If it feels like there’s been a lot more action in the stock market, you’re right. The Chicago Board Options Exchange volatility index or “VIX” for short, which shows the market’s expectation of 30-day volatility, has moved sharply up and down in 2018. Even small movements in the market can trigger fight or flight instincts in investors. Headline-grabbing market swings can mean even more fear.

As an advisor, you are in the unique position to keep them on track with their current tolerance for risk and help them make clear investment decisions in the present, without looking back. Join us to learn about a variable annuity that provides access to principal protection for their retirement savings.

Important Information

The accompanying seminar and variable annuity sales presentation is for informational purposes only.

Neither New York Life nor its affiliates or their professionals provide, tax, legal, or accounting advice.

“Principal protection” is provided by an optional accumulation benefit rider called the Investment Preservation Rider–FP Series (IPR) which can be purchased for an additional fee. It guarantees all premium payments from a loss that are made in the first policy year (less any proportional withdrawals) after the completion of a holding period. The IPR does not protect the owner’s investment from day‐to‐day market fluctuations or against losses that could be realized prior to completion of the holding period.

Variable annuities are long‐term financial products designed for retirement purposes. There are fees, guidelines and risks to consider.  Withdrawals or surrenders from variable annuities may be subject to ordinary income taxes and, if made prior to age 59½, may be subject to a 10% IRS penalty. Variable annuities are subject to market risk including loss of principal.

This material is being provided for informational purposes only, and was not prepared, and is not intended, to address the needs, circumstances and objectives of any of individual or groups of individuals. New York Life, its affiliates, employees and agents are not making a recommendation that any of your particular clients purchase any specific products, and do not provide tax or legal advice.

Investors are asked to consider the investment objectives, risks, charges, and expenses of the investment carefully before investing. Both the product and the underlying prospectuses contain this and other information about the product and the underlying investment options. Please remind your clients to read the prospectuses carefully before investing.

Variable annuities are issued by New York Life Insurance and Annuity Corporation ("NYLIAC"), a Delaware Corporation. NYLIFE Distributors LLC, Member FINRA/SIPC, is the wholesale distributor and underwriter. Both NYLIAC and NYLIFE Distributors LLC are wholly-owned subsidiaries of New York Life Insurance Company, 51 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10010.  Variable annuities offered through properly licensed registered representatives of a third party registered broker dealer.

Portfolio managers Josh Duitz and Nick Robinson will provide a timely update for both developed and emerging markets. With an emphasis on high-quality companies and attractive dividend-yielding stocks, their funds may provide a solution for those seeking both growth and income. Many regions of the world have underperformed in 2018, but attractive dividends are still available—and some are even growing.

Why now? Both funds are investing in regions around the world that are selling at historically low valuations; they continue to find stocks which are paying attractive dividends and earnings growth remains strong. Each fund is broadly diversified and is selling at a steep discount. With all the headlines surrounding China, India, Europe and Latin America, we think that now may be a great time to hear their perspective on how they are navigating this volatile period.

The threat of trade wars, transnational cyberattacks, rising populism, changing demographics — wherever you turn, you see fault lines running through the global marketplace.

These developments are leading investors to ask two critical questions: Are we witnessing a sustained reversal in the post-World War II globalization trend? Will we find attractive international equity opportunities in this climate?

The webinar will put the current environment in perspective, with a focus on long-term macro trends that will shape global financial markets and economic growth in the years to come. The message: International investing continues to offer ample opportunities for investors even as markets undergo change.

During this webcast, you will learn why:

  • Country selection plays a major role in finding candidates for your equity portfolio.

Not all asset classes are created equal: Have you utilized asset classes within fixed income to help manage through a rising interest rate environment?

You don’t have to be in financial services to know the Fed has raised rates seven times in the last three years.  However, not every asset class in fixed income reacts the same to increasing rates. Please join Brian Westhoff, Ben Miller and Jason Felderman,  fixed income portfolio managers from Aegon Asset Management* US, for a panel discussion on how different asset classes, including intermediate term bonds, high yield and bank loans, have performed in the current rate environment and what to expect from each asset class moving forward.  The team plans to discuss a range of topics, including how future rate increases and quantitative tightening could affect each asset class, global influences on U.S. rates, and risks to consider in addition to interest rate risk within fixed income.

President Donald Trump’s policies have been both bullish and bearish for stocks. His deregulation moves and tax cuts have been good for earnings. His “America First” protectionism has increased the risks of a trade war, which would be bearish for stocks. In this webcast, Dr. Ed Yardeni will discuss some insights from his 40 years as an eminent Wall Street prognosticator to predicting how this tug of war between Trump’s bullish and bearish policies will play out.

In 2018, Dr. Ed published Predicting the Markets: A Professional Autobiography In this book, he shares his unique insights into predicting the trends and cycles in the domestic and global economies and financial markets—including stocks, bonds, commodities, and currencies—based on the first 40 years of his career on Wall Street.

Dr. Ed was among the first Wall Street strategists to see the bullish consequences of disinflation and globalization for stocks and bonds during the 1980s and 1990s. He was the first economist on Wall Street to recognize the importance of Baby Boom demographic trends. In 1993, he started writing about the “High-Tech Revolution in the US of @”—presaging the enormous impact that technological advances would have on life today. After China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001, he foresaw the resulting commodity boom. Dr. Ed turned bearish on financial services stocks during June 2007 before the financial crisis hit with full force. Although he wasn’t bearish enough on the overall stock market back then, he correctly called the market’s bottom the week after it was hit in March 2009, remaining steadfastly bullish during the nine-year bull run through the start of 2018.

Ironically, the best way to compete in our modern age is to…become more human with communication skills that automation can't deliver.

In some ways advances help us and in other ways they impede us. (Think of trying to communicate with a text zombie friend.)

One thing is for sure, developing lasting relationships is an art and skill set that requires each of us to be at our absolute 'human best' when communicating with our clients. Now is the perfect time to differentiate ourselves from the pack by leveraging our humanity.

In this call Mitch and Steve will discuss;

  • The most powerful communication and discovery factors tied to money management and how you can leverage them.
  • The intangible value a great advisor brings through their advice that can never be commoditized.
  • How to leverage your humanity toward increasing understanding and building empathy.
  • Why communicating with the client about their journey is more important than the destination.

As the cost of investing is being driven down toward zero the value of advice is shifting from simply trying to increase return on investment, to enhancing Return on Life. In this call, you'll learn the key communicating and guidance skills advisors need to thrive in a Return on Life world.

Learn how to use concierge medicine to help you and your clients reduce your medical costs, especially as you get older. Join us for an overview of how concierge medicine can help you save money against your deductible, get the best insurance pricing, and live longer to strengthen your personal and financial legacy. Dr. Carlin will review how to find a good concierge practice and the specific steps you can take to start increasing your health so you can increase your wealth.

The Problem

Clients and advisors don’t have a clear way to address the financial and personal risks of poor health. The healthcare costs that come with aging are unpredictable and can be exponential. Many advisors do not have strategies to manage these risks for their clients. Advisors need a clear way to manage potentially huge healthcare costs in retirement and to build deeper relationships with their clients by helping them with matters outside their portfolio.

The Solution

Health risks can be managed and reduced with concierge medicine just like financial risks. Concierge medicine provides a clear and effective way to help your clients save on healthcare costs as they age. This talk will show you how to save on out-of-pocket health expenses, time, and insurance costs. Longevity is important to all family members and stakeholders, by increasing the client’s health and quality of life, advisors can create strong bonds with their clients and their client’s families.

True or False: Most advisors work too many hours for too little money for too many of the wrong clients.

The responses from the polls we ran on our last online training indicate that this is true:

  • 90% of advisors said they need or want to make more money.
  • 69% said they want to work fewer hours per week and take more REAL vacation every year.
  • 92% said they would like to have a smaller total number of clients who each pay them more.

What about you? Chances are very high that your current approach to client acquisition practically guarantees that you will work too many hours for too little money for too many of the wrong clients.

Ironically, most advisors want exactly the opposite: more money, less hours, and more of the right clients.

1. Money.

2. Time.

3. Smaller total number of clients who each pay you more.

If you have a sincere desire to get better in any, or all, of these areas enroll yourself in this free, online live training session with Bill Bachrach.

In addition to getting the most clear and concise definition of “client acquisition” you’ve ever heard, in about an hour, from the comfort of your
own office, you will discover the answers to 4 vital questions:

1. Who should be your target client and why?
2. Why is it easy to "steal" (rescue) the best clients from established advisors?
3. What’s the BIG mistake that most advisors make and what to do about it?
4. What are the keys to successful Client Acquisition, like where to find higher-net-worth prospects?

In addition to the answers to these questions, Bill shares case studies, stories, and examples of what the best advisors do well and what most advisors are doing wrong.

In order to improve your quality of life, work fewer hours, acquire the RIGHT clients, and make more money, join us LIVE for this training session.

P.S. Too little money, too many work hours, and too many of the wrong clients didn’t happen by accident. This problem will NOT fix itself.

The financial advisory business was built on the success of the baby boomer generation. But now the biggest wealth transfer in history is underway: $30 trillion will pass to next generation heirs over the next 30–40 years.¹ Young adults born between 1980 and 1995 are playing an ever-increasing role in how their family wealth is managed.

The attitudes and opinions of Millennials are quite distinct from the two generations that came before them—Baby Boomers and Generation X—because their expe¬riences are distinct as well. Millennials pose both the biggest threat to the traditional advisor model the biggest opportunity for future growth.

If you continue business as usual, you’ll be run out of business by advisors who understand that as the pace of technology change continues to accelerate, the value of everything heads toward zero--except one thing. That one thing is human experiences. Human experiences cannot be copied, commoditized or digitized.

You deliver a “human experience” by making “the life of the client the core of the conversation, not the accounts of the client.” We call this process Life-Centered Planning and the planners who deliver it are called Life-Centered Planners. Life-Centered Planners understand that money is simply a tool to help clients get the best Return on Life possible with the money they have. These planners focus on mastering the conversations around what is really important to the client.

In this new webcast, Financial Life Planning pioneer Mitch Anthony and Advisor Coaching expert Steve Sanduski will demonstrate the discovery processes necessary to capture your clients’ life story, and to master the conversations that forge a long-term relationship that is memorable and meaningful.

You’ll learn how to deliver the three breakthrough Return on Life conversations with your clients:

  1. How did I arrive at my perspectives on money? Tool: The Fiscalosophy Profile, which discovers the client’s perspectives on 8 key financial issues.
  2. How can I get the best life possible with the money I have? Tool: The ROL Index, which measures satisfaction with how money is being managed in their life.
  3. Am I financially prepared for life’s big transitions? Tool: The $Lifeline, which tracks forthcoming transitions in the client’s life.

By mastering the conversations and using these tools, you will help your clients live their best life possible and be indispensable to them.

Learn how to make yourself and your clients live longer and healthier lives. Join us for an overview of longevity planning with author and telemedicine pioneer Dr. Daniel Carlin. Dr. Carlin will discuss the amazing capabilities of genome sequencing, advanced biomarker testing, stem cell treatments, and how they are going to make 100+ year lifespans commonplace.

The Problem

Clients and advisors don't have a clear way to address the financial and personal risks of poor health. The healthcare costs that come with aging are unpredictable and can be exponential.

Advisors and others who work with the affluent need new ways to strengthen their relationships with all family members. 77% of advisors lose clients when wealth transfer occur.

The Solution

Predictable and unpredictable health risks can be managed and reduced, just like financial risks. Longevity planning provides a clear process for identifying your or your client's unique risks (as revealed by genome sequencing), determining clear metrics to track those risks, and then making a treatment plan to reduce each of those risks as much as possible. Longevity is important to all family members and stakeholders, by increasing the client's health and quality of life, advisors can create strong bonds with their clients and their client's families.

We are all paying attention to the Fed’s reduction of their $4.5 trillion balance sheet, a plan they have publicly stated as part of normalizing policy, but to help assess what outcome this will create for bond investors, it is worth asking…

Who will replace this disappearing demand for bonds? Investors won’t suddenly have an extra couple of trillion to fill the void.  Yields will need to rise to attract new investors. Specifically in that case, it is likely the two to ten year maturity Treasury rates will rise to entice those investors to switch to bonds and when they do, what pressure will that put on the investments they are selling?

The Fed’s normalizing, and the market’s reaction, has the potential to adversely affect the value of bond portfolios, which is why we created the Sit Rising Rate ETF (RISE) as a strategic hedge for bond investors. It is our view that now may be the time to protect bond portfolios and reduce risk before the Fed meets September 20th.  Hedging is similar to collision insurance – it’s only effective to have in place before the accident occurs.

Please join this webinar given by ETFMG and Bryce Doty, the fund’s portfolio manager, for a detailed look at RISE.

Accepted for one hour of CFP® CE Credit.

For Financial Professionals Only.

Carefully consider the Fund’s investment objectives, risk factors, charges, and expenses before investing. This material must be accompanied or preceded by a prospectus. Please read the prospectus carefully before investing.

The Sit Rising Rate ETF seeks to profit from rising interest rates by tracking the performance, before fees and expenses, of a portfolio consisting of exchange traded futures contracts and options on futures on 2, 5 and 10-year U.S. Treasury securities weighted to achieve a targeted negative 10 year average effective portfolio duration.

Past performance does not guarantee future results.

An investment in the Fund involves risk. As with any investment, you could lose all or part of your investment in the Fund, and the Fund’s performance could trail that of other investments. The Fund is subject to principal risks which may adversely affect the Fund’s NAV, trading price, yield, total return and ability to meet its investment objective. The use of derivatives and/or short positions, such as futures and options, generally are volatile and are not suitable for all investors. The Fund is speculative and involves a high degree of risk. An investor may lose all or substantially all of an investment in the Fund. Shares of the Fund are not FDIC insured, may lose value and have no bank guarantee.

Investments in debt securities typically decrease in value when interest rates rise, however, the Fund attempts to maintain a portfolio with a negative effective duration and therefore anticipates that an increase in interest rates may increase the Fund’s value, and a decrease in rates may lower the Fund’s value. The NAV of the Fund’s shares relates directly to the value of U.S. Treasuries and Treasury Instruments held by the Fund which are materially impacted by interest rate movements. The magnitude of the impact on value from a change in interest rates is often greater for longer-term fixed income securities than shorter-term securities.

You should carefully consider whether your financial condition permits you to participate in a commodity pool. In doing so, you should be aware that commodity interest trading can quickly lead to large losses as well as gains. Such trading losses can sharply reduce the net asset value of the pool and consequently the value of your interest in the pool. In addition, restriction on redemptions may affect your ability to withdraw your participation in the pool. Further, commodity pools may be subject to substantial charges for management, advisory and brokerage fees. It may be necessary for those pools that are subject to these charges to make substantial trading profits to avoid depletion or exhaustion of their assets.

Sit Fixed Income Advisors II, LLC (“Sit Advisors”) is registered as a “commodity trading advisor” and will act as such for the Fund.  Sit Advisors is a subsidiary of Sit Investment Associates, Inc. (“Sit”).  Sit is a full product global asset manager offering management expertise in domestic equities, international equities and fixed income instruments.

The fund is distributed by ETFMG Financial LLC, which is not affiliated with Sit or Sit Advisors. ETF Managers Group LLC and ETFMG Financial LLC are wholly owned subsidiaries of Exchange Traded Managers Group LLC (collectively, “ETFMG”). Sam Masucci is a registered rep of ETFMG Financial LLC.

Show your clients what they're spending WITHOUT running a cash-flow analysis! Join us for a breakthrough OWE-GROW-LIVE-GIVE dialogue by author, consultant and FA magazine columnist Mitch Anthony. Mitch will discuss the problems, a solution and your new client dialogue during this complimentary one-hour webcast.

The Problems

  • Clients don't really know (or maybe don't want to know) what they're spending. If they want to secure income in the future they're going to have to know their outgo in the present.
  • Advisors need to move away from comparative measures of success (relative investment performance) and toward highly personalized measure of success. Measuring success by comparative measures is a 'can't win' proposition for advisors and guaranteed to fail over time.

The Solution

  • A way to show clients what they're spending without asking what they are spending by gathering only 5 numbers off of their 1040 form.

There are only four things you can do with your money. You can OWE it (taxes and debt), you can GROW it, LIVE it (lifestyle spending), and you can GIVE it (charity). How you decide to manage your money will impact the quality of your life.

In the disruptive world of declining AUM fees and the progressively lower perceived value for wealth and investment management, how do you successfully position yourself to be paid 5-figure fees that are totally separate from asset management?

The key is to create a Client Value Promise above-and-beyond the typical “wealth management” or investment management value proposition.

On this free webcast, presented by Bill Bachrach, you will learn the process top advisors use to create a compelling Client Value Promise that inspires existing clients and prospects to pay a flat fee for service. This can be in addition to AUM fees or instead of AUM compensation all together.

This is the exact same process Bill’s high level coaching clients use to set, and get, $36,000 - $100,000 annual flat fees for service.

This free online training is for you...

  • If you'd like to position yourself to be paid 5-figure fees instead of, or in addition to, asset management.

  • If you want avoid the “race to the bottom” as Artificial Intelligence continues to improve the quality of machine-based investment management while driving the price close to zero.

  • If you'd like to offer something bigger and better to your existing clients to earn a significant pay raise.

  • If you'd you to know how to “rescue” high net worth clients from their other advisors.

  • If you'd like to get out of the asset gathering game and do something simpler, more elegant, that differentiates you from the competition, and pays really well.

  • Or if you'd like to have a jump-start on the next wave of the FSI that will likely replace the current “Wealth Management” model.

Learn more about what technologies you should be weighing at your firm to keep clients happy and stay competitive year round.

After five years of negative returns, many investors now question the value of Emerging Markets as an asset class.  Yet, in spite of concerns about the slowing Chinese economy, political turmoil in Brazil and the painful drop in commodity prices, Emerging Markets are among 2016’s best performing asset classes. This discussion will include an analysis of current Emerging Markets allocations and how those allocations are both changing and evolving at the institutional level.  The discussion will examine the role of indexing and ETFs in Emerging Markets, as well as take a look at the relative attractiveness of Emerging Markets equities today.  There will also be a discussion of the China A Share Market and Frontier Markets.  The talk will end with a review of key investment themes in Emerging Markets and how investors can gain exposure to the Emerging and Frontier Markets consumer.

As the ECB and Draghi continue the financial engineering of the European markets well into 2017, this could create a tremendous investment opportunity to generate excess returns from large cap quality brand name companies.

Please join us for a dynamic discussion from two seasoned global investment professionals: Kevin O'Leary, Chairman and Connor O'Brien, CEO/President from O'Shares Investments as they provide their views on:

  • Why Europe matters and will it continue to outperform the U.S. markets

  • Euro vs the Dollar - how this benefits European companies

Before you invest in O’Shares Investments funds, please refer to the prospectus for important information about the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses. To obtain a prospectus containing this and other important information, please visit www.oshares.com to view or download a prospectus online. Read the prospectus carefully before you invest. There are risks involved with investing including the possible loss of principal.

Concentration in a particular industry or sector will subject the Funds to loss due to adverse occurrences that may affect that industry or sector. The funds may use derivatives which may involve risks different from, or greater than, those associated with more traditional investments. The funds' emphasis on dividend-paying stocks involves the risk that such stocks may fall out of favor with investors and underperform the market. Also, a company may reduce or eliminate its dividend after the Fund's purchase of such a company's securities. Returns on investments in foreign securities could be more volatile than, or trail the returns on, investments in U.S. securities. Exposures to foreign securities entail special risks, including political, diplomatic, economic, foreign market and trading risks. In addition, unless perfectly hedged, the Fund’s investments in securities denominated in other currencies could decline due to changes in local currency relative to the value of the U.S. dollar, which may affect the Fund’s returns. The funds' hedging strategies may not be successful, and even if they are successful, the funds' exposure to foreign currency fluctuations is not expected to be fully hedged at all times. See the prospectus for specific risks regarding the Fund.

Past performance does not guarantee future results. Shares are bought and sold at market price (not NAV), are not individually redeemable, and owners of the Shares may acquire those Shares from the Funds and tender those shares for redemption to the Funds in Creation Unit aggregations only, consisting of 50,000 Shares. Today's market volatility and low yields have driven many to search for an approach to investing that better aligns with their needs - and one fast-growing area is Smart Beta ETFs.

Smart Beta ETFs use a different lens than traditional index products, focusing on stocks or bonds that have potentially attractive and intuitive characteristics like low volatility, dividend yield or company quality. This approach can help investors pursue desired outcomes like staying invested through volatile markets or seeking higher income. Smart Beta ETFs sit at the intersection of active and index investing, incorporating elements of both.

Hear from Holly Framsted, Strategist on the iShares Equity Smart Beta teams, as she discusses the potential benefits and application of using Smart Beta ETFs to:

  • Seek to Manage Volatility - Lower volatility can help investors stick with their plans
  • Pursue Higher Income - Dividend paying strategies can help meet income goals
  • Seek to Outperform - Factor strategies can help enhance returns

Carefully consider the Funds' investment objectives, risk factors, and charges and expenses before investing. This and other information can be found in the Funds' prospectuses or, if available, the summary prospectuses which may be obtained by visiting www.iShares.com or www.blackrock.com. Read the prospectus carefully before investing.

Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal.

There is no guarantee that any fund will pay dividends. There can be no assurance that performance will be enhanced for funds that seek to provide exposure to certain quantitative investment characteristics ("factors").  Exposure to such investment factors may detract from performance in some market environments, perhaps for extended periods. In such circumstances, a fund may seek to maintain exposure to the targeted investment factors and not adjust to target different factors, which could result in losses.

Minimum volatility ETFs may experience more than minimum volatility as there is no guarantee that the underlying index's strategy of seeking to lower volatility will be successful.

The Funds are distributed by BlackRock Investments, LLC (together with its affiliates, “BlackRock”).

All emerging markets are not created equal. Behind the indexes one can discover great companies in growing economies, which with proper analysis can present strong relative value opportunities for your domestic clients. What sets these companies apart and how do expert managers balance the rewards and risks of allocating capital to them?

FA Magazine hosted a live video webcast with Gary Greenberg, Head of Global Emerging Markets, Hermes Investment Management (sub-advisor to Calvert Emerging Markets Equity Fund), Erica Lasdon, Director of Sustainability Research at Calvert Investments, and Anthony Eames, National Sales Manager at Calvert Investments. Listen to the replay to gain valuable insights to the dynamics of emerging markets and the opportunity for clients to influence progress and create impact through a responsible investment approach to emerging markets.

The discussion is open to financial professionals only and examines:

  • Why emerging markets may present strong relative value for the foreseeable future
  • What the divergence in regional and country performance means for active investors
  • How environmental, social, governance (ESG) factors and other non-financial data can contribute to an emerging markets strategy

This program has been accepted for one hour of CE Credit from the CFP Board and for one CE hour toward the CIMA®/CIMC®/CPWA® designations through December 31, 2015.

Listen to the replay now!

An investment in Calvert Emerging Markets Equity Fund involves risk, including possible loss of principal invested. Investing in foreign securities involves additional risks relating to political, social, and economic developments abroad, differences between the regulations that apply to U.S. and foreign issuers and markets, the potential for foreign markets to be less liquid and more volatile than U.S. markets, and currency risk associated with securities that trade or are denominated in currencies other than the U.S. dollar. In addition, the risks of investing in emerging‐market securities are greater than those of investing in securities of developed foreign countries. The Fund is non-diversified and may invest more of its assets in a smaller number of issuers than a diversified fund; therefore, gains or losses on a single stock may have greater impact on the Fund.

For more information on any Calvert fund, please contact your financial advisor, call Calvert at 800.368.2748, or visit www.calvert.com for a free summary prospectus and/or prospectus. An institutional investor should call Calvert at 800.327.2109. An investor should consider the investment objectives, risks, charges, and expenses of an investment carefully before investing.
